Meet your dog trainer!

Jasmine, Owner

Jasmine is the head trainer at Foundation Canine Dog Training. At a young age, her family’s volunteering with the renowned organization, Guide Dogs for the Blind, sparked Jasmine’s interest in dog training. Through researching in her spare time, attending seminars, and volunteering with rescues, Jasmine did all she could to learn more.

Prior to the launch of Foundation Canine, Jasmine spent hands-on time learning from trainers who specialize in pet training, shelter dog rehabilitation, guide dog training, and police-k9s. Jasmine still expands her knowledge by attending various training seminars and studying the book science of psychology and development at local universities.

When Jasmine isn’t training dogs, she loves going on hikes, photography, and traveling.

Marilyn, Trainer

Marilyn is one of our talented trainers who helps serve our rapidly-expanding clientele.

At a very young age, Marilyn began training her American Eskimo from the basics to tricks, which is where her spark and love for dogs began. She has trained under great mentors that have made her the trainer she is today, and she works with all kinds, from pet dogs to dogs with behavioral issues to sport dogs. She competes in the sport IGP with her personal dogs, and has also certified in handling explosive K9s and have been working in detection for the past three years.

In her free time, she enjoys spending it with family or traveling, as well as enjoying time with her pups!

Ashley, Executive Assistant

Ashley is the Executive Assistant here at Foundation Canine. She helps handle emails, scheduling, and ensuring you have the best possible experience. If you’ve ever scheduled training with us, chatted about evaluating a service dog prospect, or submitted an intake form, you’ll know how vital Ashley is to our ability to serve you and your dogs.

Ashley works remotely and lives in Northern California, where she also operates a dog walking business. She has two incredible rescues, Cheddar Cheese (cat) and Lady Fern (dog).

When Ashley isn’t working, you can find her either identifying plants in coastal ecosystems, backpacking through the ancient redwood forests, or camping under the stars.
