What is your training method?

Foundation Canine’s name is founded on our ideals: if you work on the “foundation,” the whole house will be more stable. This means building value in commands through positive reinforcement, teaching play skills, structuring and managing the dog within the home, and providing clear communication to show the dog what we do and don’t want.

We have been to other trainers before, how is your training different?

While we cannot speak to the specifics of other trainers, Foundation Canine has been honored to serve many clients who felt they did not receive the results they wanted from previous trainers. Some of our clients have been to three or four trainers before they found us, and have left finally feeling as though they got the results they were looking for.

Our training focuses on the roots of the behaviors, not just the “tip of the iceberg,” so to speak. Long-lasting, effective dog training is more than just what you can see, and is so often about the things you don’t. Our trainers are experts on not just identifying those unseen aspects, but teaching YOU to see them too.

Do you train any dog?

Yes! Our trainers are experts in all breeds of dog, from Golden Retrievers to Belgian Malinois to shelter mixes, and all ages, with our puppy training some of the most popular and the oldest dog we have trained being eleven years old!

Do you offer boarding?

Yes! All current and past clients are eligible for boarding with one of our trainers. Boarding is structured and intended to keep your dog happy, safe, and fulfilled while you are away!
